The Byford & Districts Country Club is a family friendly, community-minded social destination in the Peel region. The BDCC was recently awarded the prestigious title of Western Australia’s Club of the Year for 2023, boasting over 11,000 active members and serving over 3,500 meals weekly. We are proud to be the largest community club in WA, striving to provide excellent value-for-money and high-quality dining experiences to our members.  

We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join our team. This position suits applicants wishing to work in a fast-paced, positive and energetic environment. 

The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Head Chef. You will be responsible for running your own section, including preparation, service and cleaning. The ordinary hours of work will be 38 hours per week.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Offering a competitive annual salary range between $76,515 – $78,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities Requirements

● Maintain high and consistent food quality and presentation standards within your assigned section.

● Assist in stock control and rotation; help manage food costs by following portion guidelines and minimising waste.

● Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

● Work collaboratively as part of a team and support the training of junior kitchen staff as directed.

● Apply creative cooking techniques and follow established methods to deliver menu items accurately.

● Prepare meals in accordance with dietary requirements, including allergies and intolerances.

● Support healthy eating practices by following nutritional guidelines set by senior chefs or management.

● Adhere to and help enforce food safety standards, ensuring compliance within your station.

● Liaise with supervisors, managers, and front-of-house staff to resolve operational issues as they arise.

● Assist in proper freezing, storage, and food preservation procedures as required.

● Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).

● Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant or similar environment (preferred).

● Experience in preparing classic Australian pub-style dishes

● Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food handling regulations, allergen awareness, and cross-contamination procedures.

● Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure kitchen environment.

● Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.

● Rights to work in Australia (preferred).
