BOOK RESTAURANT JOIN MEMBERSHIP

The Byford & Districts Country Club is a not-for-profit organisation and as such is governed by a Board of Volunteers who are elected by the Members of the Club.  The Board has strategic oversight of the Club with an emphasis on the strategic direction, financial management and good governance .

The BDCC Board members serve a term of 3 Years with alternating terms and commencement dates alternating to ensure continuity in the strong governance of the Club.

Although the role of a Byford & Districts Country Club Board member is of significant importance and is certainly time consuming, all Board members of the club are voluntary and no Board member receives payment for their services. Furthermore the Board is responsible for the employment of the Clubs Chief Executive Officer.  The Chief Executive is the Clubs most senior employee and oversees the day to day management of the club and its employees.

Mr ANDREW FORREST AO

The Byford & Districts Country Club Inc. is honoured to recognise Mr Andrew Forrest AO as the Club’s  Patron.

Industry and philanthropic leader Andrew Forrest grew up on a remote Australian cattle station, Minderoo, before graduating from university and building a career in investment banking, mining and farming. In his professional life he has created some of the largest raw material exporters and infrastructure companies in the world.

Andrew is Chairman of Fortescue Metals Group and the Minderoo Foundation among other significant charities and companies. Some 90% of his time is now invested locally and internationally in ventures to protect and support the under privileged and communities.

Mr Forrest is a passionate and committed member of the Byford community and looks forward to working with the Byford & Districts Country Club Board of Management and its members in continuing to deliver this valuable resource to our members.
